Becoming a Seller at Momporium: How to and Why to:
- Becoming a seller at momporium will open a whole new world for you, of savings, newness and variety. Henceforth, you will be shopping without any guilt of overspending, finding storage or forcing an item on your kid only because you’ve spent on it; because you can sell it at momporium at the best possible price, irrespective of whether the product is new or old, in perfect working condition or worn out.
- Becoming a seller at momporium is as simple as it can be. You just have to fill some product details and upload the product. Rest all will be taken care of by our team at momporium. From guiding you in uploading the product to helping you find the best price, we will take care of it all.
- When your product finds a new home, you just have to pack the product and wait to hear the clink clink of money being remitted into your account. Momporium takes care of the logistics.
- After selling at momporium, you have not only spread smiles and shared experience but have also saved, space, money and the environment.
To start selling you will need to visit our website www.momporium.in and follow the step by step guide to upload your product. The seller panel has been specially created for the sellers so that they can not only upload the product but also manage its sale, alter its price, keep a track of their sales and get the best price.
- To sign up, click on the sign in button on the top right corner of the screen. You will be thereafter, required to enter your mobile number for OTP verification.
- After filling in the details, click on ‘Register’ and start Selling/shopping!
- You may directly click on ‘Become Seller’ icon on the top right corner of the page and follow same steps to register.
- Provide product description as to its usage and its condition.
- Enlist the defects so that your customer can make an informed choice.

Photography guidelines
- Remember! An attractive and clear image increases the chance of your product being sold.
- Click your items in a neutral, uncluttered, well-lit background. The product should be in focus and please avoid uploading blurry shots.
- Select 4 or more photos and upload them. Ensure the photos you upload depict the actual item as clearly as possible from all angles.
- Please add a well-shot, 360º video of your item indicating size, colour, make and most importantly all signs of wear and tear, if any.

Bidding process for seller
- The bidding process will start on receipt of first bid. The price which you have quoted will be the maximum price.
- A buyer may find your price so attractive that she or he may choose to buy it straightaway, in which case the buyer can put the product in cart and buy.
- Whereas in other cases, a buyer may want to negotiate. In such case, buyer will quote his/her price. The bidding process will go on for 12 hours from the time of receiving first bid. This clock will be visible to you and the buyer and the maximum bid amount will also be visible to the buyer and to you. During this time, you can sit back and relax while we get the best price for your product.
- After the 12 hour clock stops, the bidding process will get over and the highest bidder will automatically be selected. We will send a message as well as email to the highest bidder requiring him to make payment within one hour.
- This payment will be received with momporium and then you will be informed by call, messages and email that your product has been sold and that you must keep the product ready for dispatch (please follow the packing guidelines). You will be provided with two days to pack the product as per our guidelines.
- In the meantime, you will also be required to fill in your KYC details on the website so as to enable momporium to transfer the payment in your account.
- If the selected buyer does not make payment within one hour, the second highest bidder will be selected and the same process will continue.
- Once the payment is received with momporium and you, as seller, have also responded, our delivery partner will reach you within two days to pick up the packed product.

Bidding tutorial for buyer
- Bidding for you is not mandatory. You may straightaway by a product, if you wish to.
- In order to bid, just enter your amount in the specified column and click on bid. The bidding process will start on receipt of first bid and go on for 12 hours.
- If the bidding process has already started, you will see two prices, one quoted by the seller which will be the original price and the other price will be the maximum bid amount ongoning at that time.
- The remaining time for bidding process will also be shown. You can enter your bid and wait for the bidding process to get completed. Kindly note that if the bidding is already going on, you have to place a higher bid than what has already been quoted by somebody else. Lower bid than that will not be accepted.
- You can alter your bid as well by clicking on the option ‘ edit bid’. Only a higher bid amount can be entered.
- After the 12 hour clock stops, the bidding process will get over and the highest bidder will automatically be selected. We will send a message as well as email to the highest bidder requiring him/her to make payment within one hour.
- This payment will be received with momporium. The seller will then be informed about the sale and to keep the product packed and ready to be shipped.
- It may happen that when the payment is received and thereafter when the seller is contacted, to keep the product ready, the seller may not respond or he may not have the possession of the product anymore due to any reason or the product may not be in saleable condition anymore. In such case the payment by the buyer shall be refunded to the buyer at the earliest.
- If the selected buyer does not make payment within one hour, the second highest bidder will be selected and the same process will continue.
- Once the payment is received with momporium and seller has also responded, our delivery partner will reach the seller within two days to pick up the packed product.
- During this time, if you are the successful bidder, you can sit back and relax. The delivery will be made at your doorstep

Pricing and payment
You know the original price of your product and the current condition of your product. Make adequate deductions in the original price depending on the current condition, number of defects and time of use. Decide a price on which you think you would buy the said pre-loved product. Quote the same and open it for bidding.
Please remember that momporium will charge 20% commission on the price on which product is sold.
The payment received from buyer will be received by momporium and after the dedicated period for any return request is over, the same shall be credited in the account of seller.

Packaging
- Please use sturdy boxes with flaps to pack. Momporium shall not be responsible for possible in-transit damages.
- Use proper brown tape to secure the packing.
- If you are reusing some of the old boxes, please remove all other labels or writings and all other previous shipping markings such as hazardous material, delicate, etc.
- Place a second copy of the address lable inside the box.
- Please ensure that the products are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised, before shipping.
- Please do not use oversized boxes for packaging as the same may unnecessarily increase courier cost.
- Please also ensure that the products are safely padded and tightly packed so that the same may not rattle inside the boxes.
- Books and clothing can be packed in bubble envelopes instead of boxes.
- Please do not use fancy packaging as the same may get damaged during transit
- Please do not pack in polythene or cloth bags.
- Please use proper adhesives to pack and do not use staplers or strings to pack.
- Stick the shipping label with recipient details which shall be provided by Momporium
- Products which do not meet the packaging guidelines will not be picked up and the sale shall stand cancelled and the amount paid by the buyer will be returned to the said buyer.

Shipping and returns for seller
- All logistics shall be handled by our logistics partner, however, the cost of delivery is to be borne by the seller.
- Kindly sanitise, clean, and pack the product securely as per our packaging guidelines once a sale has been made.
- We will send you a shipping label which will have to be stuck inside as well as outside the packaging, following which, after momporium receives confirmation that the product is ready for pickup, our logistics partner will contact you directly to coordinate the pick up time and address.
- Ensure the shipping label is pasted on the package else the courier service reserves the right to refuse pick up.
- Any damage during transit shall not be the responsibility of Momporium.
- Kindly note that if the product is not packed as per our guidelines, the same shall not be picked up.
- Returns will only be approved, if the product purchased has defects which were not disclosed by the seller. Once a return request is placed, the same shall be scrutinized by our team.
- If approved, the return is to be arranged by the seller itself and the charges are to be borne by the seller. Please note that the buyers must place a return request within 5 days of purchasing the product.
- Any request in connection with the refund and return of the Product made after 5 (five) days of receipt of the Product for any reason whatsoever, will not, under any circumstances, be entertained by momporium.
- Please note that the delivery charges are to be borne by the seller. Since the seller is made aware that momporium will charge 20% commission on the final sale price and the delivery charges are to be borne by the seller, the seller may adjust the sale price accordingly.

Return policy for buyer
- All sales are final. Cancellation are not permitted.
- Returns will only be approved, if the product has defects left undisclosed by the seller. The return request must be placed within five days from receipt of the product. After the said period, no request shall be entertained.
- Buyers must send proper and clear photos and videos proving their reasons of return. Once a return request is placed, the same shall be scrutinized by our team within 48 hours and if the same is approved a return shall be arranged by the seller.
- Momporium shall refund the full payment within 7 working days from the date, return request is approved. Momporium shall not be responsible for arranging a pickup in such case.
- Some images may show assembled products whereas when the same is purchased, it may be dismantled and packed and shipped. In such case, if the buyer is unable to assemble the product, our customer care will help. Inability to assemble the same shall not be valid ground for return.
